I've just booked a lovely long weekend away to Bruges with my sister as a birthday present to her.
Bruges has always appealed to me, it's a bit more random that Paris or Barcelona, there are loads of interesting museums and there's great architecture from the Romanesque and Gothic periods, which my sister will absolutely love.
The touristy areas will hopefully have good bars and restaurants for the evening, and I've already researched some great shopping areas!
I managed to get a good deal online with flights and hotel, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to afford the trip, so I'll have to make sure I don't overspend in the shops otherwise I'll be living off Wonga.com pay day loans when I get back! My sis too!
It just looks so lovely, and so different from the UK, I can't wait to go!
